Hope Police Department makes several arrests

On Wednesday, December 5th officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Heather L. Leonard, 37, of Hope, for Theft of a Credit Card and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. The arrest was the result of an investigation into the theft of a wallet from Tobacco USA in Hope. The victim’s credit card was allegedly used at a Hope business.

 

 

 

Timothy D. Crossland

On Wednesday, December 5th officers arrested Timothy D. Crossland, 33, of Hope, for Aggravated Robbery. The arrest resulted from an altercation that occurred on Monday, December 3rd at a residence in the 1600 block of West 6th Street in Hope. According to the victim, Virginia Hudman, the suspects mother, Crossland and Hudman became involved in a verbal altercation about money when Crossland began punching and choking Hudman. Hudman stated Crossland then threatened her with a gun.

 

 

Orenthal Jones

Orenthal Jones, 36, of Hope, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault on Sunday, December 9th. Jones was arrested for allegedly choking Patrice Wallace on Saturday, December 8th at a residence in the 700 block of East 3rd Street in Hope.

 

 

 

 

Nathaniel Trey Holyfield

On Sunday, December 9th officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Nathaniel Trey Holyfield, 20, of Hope, and charged him with Delivery of Methamphetamine. Holyfield was taken into custody at a residence in the 800 block of McFerron Street in Hope. Holyfield’s arrest is the result of the efforts of the South Central Drug Task Force, the Arkansas State Police and the Hope Police Department.

 

 

Gregory S. Smith

On Thursday, December 6th Gregory S. Griffith, 52, of Blevins, was arrested and charged with Breaking or Entering after he allegedly broke into a car located at Yerger Terrace and attempted to steal a car battery. A second suspect fled the area when officers arrived and could not be located.
