Hope Police Department Statement On Shooting

HOPE – The Hope Police Department has released this statement on today’s shooting death:

“On March 7, 2017, at approximately 2:30pm, officers of the Hope Police Department and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 200 block of East Third Street, known as B&B Wrecker Service, in reference to a shooting.

Officers arrived and identified the business owner, Norman Bobo, lying in front of the business, with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Bobo was transported from the scene by Pafford EMS. He was pronounced dead just before 3:00pm at Wadley Regional Medical Center at Hope.

Preliminary statements from witnesses indicate that the shooting was accidental. Hope Police Department is still investigating this incident.”image
