Hope police log

On Monday, August 21, at about 7:00am, officers from the Hope Police Department, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, 8th North Task Force, Department of Homeland Security
and the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed simultaneous search warrants at two residences in Hope, AR.

The search warrants were executed at homes in the 1300 block of South Hervey Street and the 2100 block of South Pine Streets, both in Hope, AR. During the searches, investigators located
over four ounces of Marijuana, over one hundred suspected hydrocodone tablets and evidence indicative of the illicit sale of prescription narcotics. Investigators also seized more than $1,500.

Arrested were Charles Henry 54, of Hope, AR and Laverne Robinson 75, of Hope, AR. Mr. Henry was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance Schedule I or II, Possession of a
Controlled Substance Schedule I or II, Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule VI, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Use of a Communication Device, Proximity near
Certain Facilities and Maintaining a Drug Premises. Mr. Henry was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.

Mrs. Robinson was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance Schedule I or II, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I or II and Maintaining a Drug Premises.

7:40am in the 1700 Block of East 9th St.

A male juvenile of Hope, AR.

The juvenile was arrested and charged with Refusal to Submit to Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Operations.

11:06pm in the 600 Block of East 3rd St.

Sylvia Villarreal, 22, of Hope, AR.

Ms. Villarreal was arrested and charged with DWI-Drugs, Driving on Suspended for DWI, and Expired Vehicle License.

5:15pm in the 2400 Block of North Hervey St.

Janet Rainey, 62, of Emmet, AR.

Ms. Rainey was arrested and charged with Theft of Property.
