A Hope teenager was injured in a four-wheeler accident Monday evening.
Layton Medlen was riding his red Honda Rancher in front of his home on Gunter Lane around 5:30 p.m. when he apparently lost control of the ATV which rolled over on him, pinning him underneath it. A neighbor saw the accident occur and rushed to get the four-wheeler off the young man.
Pafford EMS treated Medlen at the scene before transporting him to the helicopter landing zone off Commerce Boulevard near I-30. He was flown by LifeNet to Saint Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs.
