Volunteer firefighters brought a house fire under control in Nevada County Thursday evening.
A neighbor reported smoke coming from house on Highway 371 about 5 miles west of Prescott around 5:45 pm. No one was at home at the time of the fire, which was contained to the front room. The structure did suffer significant smoke damage though.
The rent home belongs to Ned Ward.
The Nevada County Rescue Unit responded to the call, along with firefighters from Emmet, Fair Hills and Blevins.
