Infant injured in Hope house fire

A child was injured in a Hope house fire Saturday.

Officers of the Hope Police Department responded to a house fire call in the 900 block of North Walker around 8 p.m.

Kebrecus Blakely, 20, of Waldo, was able to get himself and two small children out of the residence, however, one of the children, a nine-month-old infant was injured.

The child was transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Hope Fire Chief Dale Glanton says the fire appears to have started underneath the home's furnace.
