Jesse Lee Young, age 62, of Rosston, passed away on October 26, 2012 at a Texarkana hospital. He was born December 5, 1949 in Rosston.
Mr. Young was a 1967 graduate of Oak Grove High school and a timber contractor for a number of years. He was also a member of New Bethel AME Church. He was a member of the Delta Spirituals, Young Circuit Male Chorus and the founder of The Young Singers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lee Young, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lee Young; daughters, Rachel Young of Stephens, AR, Valerie and Shonda Young of Hope, Pamela Young of Rosston; two sons, Darrell McKinney and Donny Young of Little Rock, AR; his mother, Onita Young; eight grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Walters of Prescott and Verniel Connor of Dallas, TX; one stepson, Eric Connor of Hope; one sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Bishop; two brothers, Elmer Lee Young, Jr. (Gloria) and James Calvin (Opagene) Young all of Rosston;
and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1pm Sunday, November 4, 2012 at New Bethel AME Church in Rosston. Interment will be at New Salem Cemetery in Rosston. Family hour will be held 6-7pm Saturday at the funeral home.
