PRESCOTT – For those with overdue library books, now is the time to return them.

February is National Library Lover’s Month, and the Nevada County Library will be offering amnesty to anyone returning overdue library books and materials this month with no questions asked. However, lost books aren’t covered under the amnesty.

Overdue books can be dropped off either inside or in the library’s book drop.

Patrons are also encouraged to check out the library’s book sale. New release books are going for $1 each and for $2 patrons can get a bag of books.

Those returning overdue books can consider their late fines waived and begin using their library cards again. However, other fees may not be included in this offer.
