PRESCOTT – Night one of the Lions Club Auction went quickly Thursday evening.

The auction, held at the Potlatch Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, pretty much sold out in slightly more than an hour. Bidding went fast and furious with those in the audience unafraid to bid on what they wanted.

Unfortunately, there were fewer items than usual, though more is expected for Saturday night. Some of the items sold included: subscriptions to Pafford Ambulance Service, handmade knives, a boot drier, jewelry, electric heater, electric scissors, leaf blower and, of course, hams and turkeys.

Silent auction items include trips to Magic Springs, a lover’s vacation to Hot Springs, teeth whitening, a golf outing to Glenwood Country Club and, as always, a cooker made by UAHT.

Money raised from the auction will be used for club projects.
