Hope Livestock AuctionWeighted Average Report for Thursday Jan 12, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 1349 Last week: 1655 Last year: 1475 Compared to last week: Feeder steers 2.00-6.00 lower. Feeder heifers 2.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to2.00 higher. Buyer activity was reduced due to inclement weather forecast forthe western and southern plain areas. Supply included 710 feeder calves; 423 yearlings; 30 replacement cows; 151slaughter cows; 35 slaughter bulls. Feeder supply consisted of 38 percentEnglish and English crosses; 37 percent Exotic and Exotic crosses; 25 percentBrahman and Brahman crosses. Feeder supply included 58 percent steers andbulls; 42 percent heifers. Prices follow with weighted average price inparenthesis.
