Weighted Average Report for Thursday Mar 16, 2017

 

Cattle Receipts: 862           Last week: 749             Last year: 1136

 

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 450 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher, over

450 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Feeder heifers steady to 4.00 higher. Slaughter

cows steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 2.00-4.00 higher.

Supply included 450 feeder calves; 255 yearlings; 15 replacement cows; 105

slaughter cows; 37 slaughter bulls. Feeder supply consisted of 45 percent

English and English crosses; 35 percent Exotic and Exotic crosses; 20 percent

Brahman and Brahman crosses. Feeder supply included 57 percent steers and

bulls; 43 percent heifers. Prices follow with weighted average price in
