Compared to last week: Feeder steers 10.00-20.00 instances 25.00-30.00 higher. Feeder heifers 5.00-15.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Quality was average to attractive. Buyer participation was very active. Most all weight classes of steers were considerably higher.
Buyers were very aggressive on most classes of cattle. Sold a split load of steers and heifers on video click link to see results. (https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ams_3628.pdf ) Supply included: 75% Feeder Cattle (60% Steers, 36% Heifers, 4% Bulls); 22% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (9% Bred Cows, 91% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 15%.
