Jesse Harding, Mildred Thrasher and Gerald E. Landers III
Two young Hope men are being called heroes by an elderly crime victim.
Saturday afternoon Mildred Thrasher, 82, was shopping in the Hope Walmart store around 4:20 p.m. when she stepped away from her shopping buggy in which she had left her wallet. Kenneth D. Hopson, 52, of Prescott, allegedly grabbed the woman’s wallet and began to run away.
When the woman started yelling for help, Gerald E. Landers III, 17, and Jesse Harding, 24, chased Hopson through the store. He returned the wallet to Thrasher after they caught him. The two men kept Hopson from leaving until Hope police could arrive.

Hopson was charged with Theft of Property under $1,000 and released.
It should be noted that Landers is fresh out of boot camp for the U.S. Marines.

Your right Brenda, the people come first..our society has failed in parts on folks that come out of jail..we need not throw the ones away that can be helped. I know I will receive a lot of flack over this statement,but that system is broken..we need folks that care and understand the problem..we need the church to offer help. I could go and on..this is the biggest reason we have crime.

Some of the folks in Hope are just plain pathetic. You make people hero's when you want to. White make right. You can do no wrong. This was a sad situation and you all make it seem like it was to be glorified. And some clown has to bring the president into.
