Mrs. Lois J. Hunt Callaway, age 80 of Gurdon, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nona Hunt and wife of the late James W. Callaway. She was employed with the VFW of Prescott for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by grandson, Ricky Gammage, brother, Truman Hunt, sister, Lorene Steed, stepson James D. Callaway and stepdaughter, Gloria Callaway Burns.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula J. Parsons Collins of Spartanburg, South Carolina, granddaughters, Tina J. Collins Hand of Atlanta, Georgia, Paige Burns Reece (Eddie) of Gurdon, Arkansas, grandson, Jason Burns of Gurdon, Arkansas, brother, Bryan Hunt (Betty) of Prescott, Arkansas, sister Jean McNeeley of Semmes, Alabama, and several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, November 3, at Brazzel/Cornish in Prescott, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Funeral service for Mrs. Callaway will be 2:00 pm, Sunday November 4, at Brazzel/Cornish Chapel in Prescott, Rev. Larry Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at DeAnn Cemetery, Prescott.
