UPDATE – All the injured have been transported to area hospitals and there is no further word on a HazMat situation. Expect travel to be severely impeded for several hours as the scene is cleared. (06:15pm)
A major traffic accident is being reported on Interstate 30, eastbound, just west of the Red River Bridge. The entire Interstate is said to be shut down in both directions.
Emergency vehicles are attempting to reach the scene via Highway 67 – extreme caution is requested. Ambulances from Miller County are working the west side of the pile up while Pafford is working the east side.
Three 18-wheelers and multiple passenger vehicles are said to be involved. The Miller County Office of Emergency Management is en route to the scene to determine if this is a hazardous material situation. Until that determination is made, authorities ask that the entire area be avoided.
HopePrescott.com will update this rapidly developing situation as information becomes available.
