Man charged with stealing and selling large TV

Michael Tribbet

Prescott Police have arrested a man accused of stealing a big screen TV and selling it.

Officers responded to a call Wednesday, Feb. 8 around 7:25 a.m. at the Prescott City Housing Authority on Hale Avenue in reference to a commercial burglary. Someone had apparently gained access to the building through the front office door stealing a 60" LCD flat screen television.

Prescott Police arrested Michael Tribbet, 27, and charged him with Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property after the TV was recovered from the apartment of a nearby resident that Tribbet had allegedly sold it to.

Officers say that upon his arrest Tribbet admitted that he had broken into the office and stolen the TV that he says he sold to the neighbor for $60.
