Melonvine Girl Scouts of the local Daisy Troop 2293 collected canned food items at their recent Annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 15th. The girls presented the canned food items to Amy Sweat, the activity coordinator at the Hope Senior Citizens Center on Tuesday, December 18th.
Troop leader Kayla Bowden said this is one of the community outreach projects the Girl Scouts are involved in.
The Daisy Troop is the youngest troop in to the Melonvine Girl Scouts and includes girls from kindergarten and 1st grade.
