Mr. Ervin H. Comer

Mr. Ervin H. Comer age 84 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Christus St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Comer was born on May 7, 1932 in Willisville, Arkansas to Samuel H. and Mary Odell Comer. He is a retired maintenance employee for Meyer’s Bakeries and served his country faithfully during the Korean War in the US Navy for four years as a Boatswain’s Mate Second Class. Mr. Comer was a loving husband, to his wife of 48 years, Eleanor Reynolds Comer, who preceded him in death; was very devoted to the needs of his family and was of the Baptist faith. He was also, preceded in death, by his parents; Samuel and Mary Comer and by a brother; Dean Comer.

 

Mr. Comer is survived by; three sons; Dale Comer, his wife, Peggy, Tracy Comer, his wife, Sharon all of Hope, and Mike Comer of Sibley, Louisiana, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation for Mr. Comer will be 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main Hope, AR.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Harold Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery Highway 67 South Hope, AR. Arrangements are by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
