Mr. Shelby Haynie

Mr. Shelby Haynie, age 76 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his home in Prescott.  He was born on February 29, 1940 to Loyd and Lula Emily Martin Haynie in Prescott, Arkansas.  Shelby is a retired truck driver for Meyers Bakery and a former owner of Diamond Gun and Pawn in Murfreesboro. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prescott for many years.  Shelby, volunteered his time as a policeman for Nevada County and Prescott for many years, as well a volunteer fireman and the Nevada County Rescue Unit. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bobby Haynie.

Survivors include his wife, of 55 years, Wanda Huskey Haynie of Prescott, two daughters; Pamela Haynie and Jim Hanley of Addison, TX, Julie Wilson, husband, Darrick of Little Rock, AR, two grandchildren: Logan Wade Wilson and Shelby Amanda Wilson both of Little Rock, AR, other family member and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Haynie will be 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy 371 West Prescott, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm, on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Prescott with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Rev. Sue Howe officiating.
