The Nevada County Economic Homemakers Club held its Fall Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 16th at Munn’s Chapel Church with two clubs in attendance: Women of Purpose and Fairhills. These clubs are open to membership to anyone.
The members were welcomed at the meeting by Council President Glenda Stuart. A potluck dinner was served to the members and their guests.
The guest speaker at the program was Prescott native, Herb Langston. A graduate of Philander Smith College in Little Rock and Northwest College of Arts and Design in Seattle, Langston interned with famed Pantone Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman. He has managed the showroom at Shelbourne Road Design Center and served as the principal designer for Ligen Roset. Langston has also been a visual merchandiser at Bon Marche and freelance visual merchandiser for Nordstrom’s. He has just completed the design for the Nevada county Library. You’re invited to drive by at night for the full effect.
