The Nevada County School 3rd and 4th grade grew giant pumpkins as part of the Eating From the Garden program conducted by Melissa Beck, Nevada County Extension Agent.
The pumpkins were planted in July as a way to control weeds and to provide learning opportunities in the garden for the first few months of school.
The largest pumpkin weighed 109 pounds.
The pumpkins are on display at the Nevada County Extension office.
So proud of these kiddos. Great teachers too!
Great Job!
