HOPE–Wes Reed, the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Hope performed several works of both contemporary and old school masters Sunday afternoon at the church.
Several of Reed’s family members, with friends from Dallas, Nashville Arkansas, and several other locations came to hear the beautiful music that Reed made.
Reed began as the organist and choirmaster at the church on February 10, 2016, when he moved from Dallas, Texas back to his hometown of Nashville. His weekday job is as the Business Systems Security and Support Supervisor for Dominion Enterprises.
He earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Organ Performance from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia and earned his Masters of Networking from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He has gone from small Baptist churches in Arkansas to the Myerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert and Royal Festival Hills in London, and many cathedrals around England.
After the concert, a very nice reception was held, put on by the ladies of the church. Everyone seemed to have a very pleasant time visiting and eating some incredible food.
