Prescott Christmas Parade photos and video

Christmas made its way through downtown Prescott Thursday evening with the 2012 Christmas Parade. The theme for this year’s parade was “Songs of Christmas” with Girl Scout Troop 2292 serving as the Grand Marshall.

Here are the winners in the various judging categories:

First Place Float – First Baptist church

Second Place Float – Park Baptist Church

Winner Mini Float – Nevada County Elected Officials

Cars and Trucks – Firestone Building Products

Best Decorated Animal – Neal, Chandra and Jodee McKinnon

Four-Wheeler/Gator/Kubota ATV – Southwest Arkansas Equipment Company

Marching Group – Prescott High School Band

Christmas on the Square followed the parade on the courthouse doorsteps with youngsters singing holiday tunes for the adoring crowd.

Santa made his way into the courtroom of the courthouse after the parade to hear the wishes of dozens of children while getting photos made with them.
