A Hope woman wants to thank the Prescott Police Department for helping her recover her stolen phone.
Tomi Bobo says her iPhone was taken from her while she was shopping in Atwood’s in Hope Saturday. She says someone bumped into her pretty hard in the store and said, “Excuse me.” When she got to her truck in the parking lot and tried to make a call, she noticed her iPhone was missing.
After going through her purse she went back into the store, but the employees weren’t able to help her. Bobo says she went to the Verizon store in Hope, but the staff there wasn’t able to help her either.
Next she used her computer to go to an Apple website called iCloud and used a feature there to find the location of her phone using the phone’s GPS. Bobo discovered her phone was in Prescott.
She says she went to the Prescott Police Department with her laptop computer and showed them the iCloud website with the address of her phone. She says that without hesitation two officers went to the location, recovered her phone and made arrests.
Bobo says she wants to express her gratitude for the quick assistance of the Prescott Police in recovering her phone.
