Ralph McKamie

Mr. Ralph McKamie, 78 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Friday, February 17, 2012 at his home in Prescott.  Mr. McKamie was born July 29, 1933 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to Sam and Nettie Henshew McKamie.  He was a loving father, grandfather, an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and a true friend that helped many and had a phrase he used “call me if you need me“.  Mr. McKamie served in the US Air Force as a gunnery mechanic and was a retired shipping manager for Kroger.  As a hunter he enjoyed his pet deer, Lucy, and his dog, Precious Ann. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patsy Glass McKamie,  his brothers: Bill, JD “Dub”, Troy, Harlan, and Haskel McKamie; and sisters: Thelma Hulsey and Gladys Parker.

Mr. McKamie is survived by his wife Deanna Duran McKamie , his sons; Monty McKamie and Cindie of Prescott, Arkansas, 
Ralph Len McKamie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Troy McKamie and Jodie of Houston, Texas, and David Satterwhite and Sherrie of Emmet, Arkansas; daughters Georgia Mozisek and Steve of Victoria, Texas, and Belinda McKamie of Prescott, Arkansas; his brother, Bobby “Buddy” McKamie; his sisters Frances Jones of Hope, Arkansas and Olliewees “Aunt Mut” Bradshaw of Texarkana, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.  The funeral service was Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott with Bro. David Hampton and Bro. Neal Ridling officiating.  Burial followed in Water Creek Cemetery in Guernsey, Arkansas.
