Torrential rain Monday night and Tuesday resulted in flooding, washouts, and closed roadways throughout southwest Arkansas.  Hempstead 16, Hempstead County Roads 25, Hempstead 28, 27 South, Hempsted County 40 East and 29, and 282 were the first to be closed.  Prescott had a closure on US 67 near the old Prescott Motor Company building.  US 371 had a washout about 4 miles east of Blevins near county road 45.  There were also reports of further washouts towards Prescott.     Howard County appeared hit bad.  Numerous photos showed flooded cars and flood conditions around the Wayerhauser plant.  Photos showed up on social media showing flooding at the intersection of US 371 and Highway 27 in Nashville.  As of 9am Tuesday, Dierks had received over 16 inches of rain.
